- Davide Sorrenti (1976 - 1997) — fashion photography wunderkind and trendsetter was born in Italy and later moved with his family to New York. Sorrenti started his photography path at the age of 18 simply by taking pictures of him and his friends hanging out and about in NY, developing his own vision and sense of fashion. Around the age of 19 his darkly glamorous shots appeared in magazines such as Interview, Detour and Ray Gun. Shortly after his work was noticed by masses and helped to boost one of the most controversial trends in fashion history — heroin chic. “MY BEUTYFULL LYFE” — the new IDEA book, edited by Davide’s mother, features his photographs taken between 1995 and 1997.
